      <description>&lt;p class="block-p"&gt;If you’ve been thinking about buying your first home, there’s a new incentive that could make a meaningful difference — especially if you’ve been considering a &lt;strong&gt;new construction home in BC&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="block-p"&gt;Canada’s new &lt;strong&gt;First-Time Home Buyers’ GST/HST Rebate&lt;/strong&gt; can eliminate the GST (or federal portion of the HST) on qualifying new homes priced up to &lt;strong&gt;$1 million&lt;/strong&gt;, and offer a reduced rebate on homes priced between &lt;strong&gt;$1 million and $1.5 million&lt;/strong&gt;. In practical terms, that could mean &lt;strong&gt;up to $50,000 in savings&lt;/strong&gt; for eligible buyers.
